8 January 2024: Xintec has announced that it has embarked on a major R&D investment project to create new digital automation capabilities to enhance the overall customer experience on its software platforms. The project is part of the company’s continued growth strategy over the next two years which will see it gain greater competitive advantage and continue to grow its position as a market leading supplier of Fraud and Revenue Assurance solutions globally. Xintec is supported by Enterprise Ireland’s Agile Innovation Fund for SMEs.
There are two components to the project: Robotic Process Automation and an Open-Source ETL framework. Robotic Process Automation is designed to deliver greater end-to-end integration and to simplify the configuration and maintainability of automation flows compared to the more generic RPA frameworks. It will also allow Xintec to introduce more control to its scheduling component to orchestrate these flows.
Some of the capabilities that will be built into the new solution will include:
- A new framework for communication with Web Apps.
- Implementation of an easy-to-use configuration language to use the communication framework.
- Added support for solving Captcha configuration.
- Enhancement of Xintec’s scheduling framework to support more complex workflows
The second component of the project is the adoption of an Open-Source ETL framework which will give customers greater control over their own data on the Xintec iGenuity platform. To benefit fully from adopting this new technology, Xintec is extending the framework to add components that address telecom specific issues and further improve the ease of use.
Enabling customers to use the many highly functional tools on the platform will give customers more options and less reliance on the Xintec team for support for minor requests, should they wish. In using this framework, Xintec will also be able to extend its solution capabilities beyond its original scope and leverage greater innovation on the Open-Source network.
Commenting on the project Rob Durran, CEO, Xintec, said, “We are delighted to be embarking on this innovation project to expand our capabilities and future proof our technology. As a business, we are always seeking to push the boundaries and generate new ideas that will better serve our customers and challenge industry norms. We’re grateful as always to Enterprise Ireland for their support and their recognition of the value that additional investment in technology research and innovation can bring, while also increasing the resilience of a small business, trading in global markets.”
